Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use getsketchr.com, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. Hosting and server access

This website runs on a server of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. When you open the site, technically necessary data (in particular your IP address, the time and the page requested) is processed so that the page can be delivered and protected against attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Waitlist and newsletter

When you sign up we store your email address, the time of sign-up, which form you used, whether you want the newsletter and, if you provide them, the platforms you publish on and the size of your channel. Purpose: to inform you about the launch of Sketchr and, if you chose the newsletter, about our progress.

Sign-up uses a double opt-in: you only receive further emails after clicking the confirmation link we send you. The time the confirmation email is sent is stored to document your consent.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to sketchr.support@gmail.com. Your data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted, and is deleted at the latest once the waitlist is no longer needed after launch.

4. Service providers

We use the following providers, which process data only on our behalf and under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR):

Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France) to send the confirmation email and the newsletter. Brevo stores its data on servers in the EU.
Upstash (Upstash, Inc., USA) as the database for sign-ups and wishes. Because Upstash is a US company, data may be transferred to or accessed from the USA. Such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses included in Upstash's data processing agreement.
Oracle as the server host described in section 2.

5. Wishlist

The feature wishlist is anonymous. Only the wishes you select and an optional free-text entry are stored, without your name or email address. Please don't enter personal data in the free-text field.

6. Spam protection

To prevent abuse of the forms, a non-reversible hash of your IP address is stored for at most one hour to count requests. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Cookies, local storage and fonts

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. After you sign up, your browser's local storage remembers this so that the form isn't shown again; this information stays on your device and can be deleted in your browser settings. All fonts are embedded in the page, so no external font servers are contacted.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise them, write to sketchr.support@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD, www.aepd.es).
